We are digital builders born in the cloud and currently, we are looking for a Transformation Assessment Lead - Public Cloud.

The position will be located anywhere reasonably within the European timezone, where Nordcloud has a local presence: Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

As a Transformation Assessment Lead - Public Cloud, your goals are to deliver impactful, customer-relevant business outcomes and enable repeatable, low-friction solutions-based selling. You will also identify and parse industry trends in cloud computing to recommend, plan for, and address core customer challenges. Finally, you will recommend ways to adapt to changes. Internally within Nordcloud you will support in building the portfolio offering.

Your daily work:

Managing the Discovery & Assessment team
Managing the delivery of Discovery & Assessment assignment with the team, while brining in continuous improvement into the delivery
Following up on the budget and scheduling of the assignments
Assessment of the application and infrastructure estate
Planning/migration of a substantial number of applications to a public cloud
Recommending cloud IaaS-PaaS-CaaS adoptions
Creating roadmaps for the customer’s cloud journey
Supporting the sales team during pre-sales engagements related to the Cloud Migration and Cloud Operating Model
Interfacing directly with customers, both helping them to understand Nordcloud’s offerings and gathering their feedback
Developing short-mid-long term strategies enabling the delivery team to develop an executable plan

Your skills and attributes of success:

5-8 years cloud experience combined with experience working on large cloud initiatives and/or direct experience working IT transformations, in which public cloud was a key enabler
Experience in supporting the sales and pre-sales teams with the solution and estimation
General understanding of how hyperscaler programs work (e.g. different funding process and possibilities from different hyper scalers)
Cloud Transformation strategies (6R) know how
Good understanding of common apps and their business usage as well as application portfolio rationalization
Collaborting with vendors on the tools used in the Delivery & Assessment phase
Ability to learn and interpret results from assessment tools & CMDB
Ability to use the data for business case and TCO calculations
Fluent communication skills in English

Your super-powers (we’d consider any of these as a plus):

Knowledge on industry adoption of Containerization, Micro-Services and API development
Knowledge on Public Cloud Offerings and services (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)
