Senior Legal Counsel – Clinical Trial Agreements

In partnership with an international consulting firm, we are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a global biotechnology company that is expanding its presence in Switzerland. As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing various clinical trial contracts. Additionally, you will provide legal advice and work closely with senior management. It is essential for this role that you have legal expertise in the Spanish market with clinical trials or clinical research organization contracting matters.

Key tasks/responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for different phases of clinical development, including clinical trial agreements, contract research organization agreements, and other trial-related agreements
• Negotiate agreements with third parties, for example, research organizations
• Coordinate closely with the senior legal team; develops a constructive working relationship
• Keep abreast of relevant industry developments and regulations governing clinical trials; provides input and advice where needed
• Assist on other matters as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and verbal
• Jurisdictional knowledge within Spanish market specifically within area of clinical trials and clinical research organizations
• Previous experience in supporting and negotiating clinical trial operations and agreements
• Ability to think around a more nuanced and complex international set up
• Excellent drafting skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
• Highly organized, efficient and hard-working; you must be capable of building strong and collaborative relationships
