Senior Data Engineer / Consultant

For our powerful team, we are looking for a Swiss based Senior Data Engineer / Consultant.

• Lead the integration and transformation of various data sources through data pipelines into cloud environments, through end-to-end data management
• Lead delivery workstreams with high-performing teams in an agile way and take accountability for the delivery qualityCommunicate outcomes and collaborate on solution / product development
• Build a trusted relationship with various stakeholders across our clients, teams, and partners

Your profile:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or a related STEM field
• 4+ years of successful experience in Data Engineering work
• Fluency in Python and expertise in other programming languages
• Familiarity with database technology and Big Data frameworks, e.g. SQL, NoSQL, and Spark

• Experience in architecting and bringing analytics solution into production and preferably scale them afterwards, e.g. based on Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake or Redshift platforms with DevOps, MLOps and DataOps exposure
• Experience in cloud technologies such as Azure Databricks or Azure Data Factory

• Experience to design & build traditional data warehouses or data lakes as well as data architectures
• Experience to deliver solutions leveraging agile methodology
• Preferably experience to visualize data insights with tools like Tableau or Power BI

• Understanding of AI approaches such as Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision
• Excellent written and oral communication (English and German are a must; preferable also French). Good interpersonal skills to work with business and IT stakeholders

• Experienced in working with virtual distributed teams

• Willingness to travel

• Proven track-record in consulting
• Deeper experience in several industries such as logistics, pharma, consumer and financial industry
